BERLIN — Authorities say a younger lady wounded in a knife assault at a Berlin faculty Wednesday afternoon is not in a life-threatening situation.
German information company dpa quoted an official on the Berlin state schooling division Thursday as saying that the kid and one other lady stay hospitalized with severe accidents.
The 7 and 8-year-olds had been attacked within the playground of the personal Protestant Faculty in Berlin’s Neukoelln district.
A person was later detained by police. Prosecutors stated Thursday that they’ve requested for the 38-year-old suspect to be held in a psychiatric hospital, pending additional investigation.
The college’s principal, Thorsten Knauer-Huckauf, stated the suspect was not a member of the college neighborhood. He stated college students, workers and fogeys had been “deeply affected and shocked” by the assault.
