Compare car insurance rates for drivers with a DUI

After a DUI, your auto insurance rate will go up — in some cases, it could even double. But one thing you can control is your choice of insurance company. A DUI can affect car insurance rates for 3 to 10 years, so it’s a good idea to shop around for the best price after getting a DUI.

🤓Nerdy Tip

If you have a DUI, you may be required to submit an SR-22 form, depending on your state’s requirements. Insurers can typically file an SR-22 form for you. However, some companies drop drivers who have a recent DUI or other serious offense.
